What we collect, what we don't, and what happens when you click through to a supplier.
The short version
No account, no login, no ads, and no analytics right now. If you email us, we have your email.
What we hold
- Your email address, if you sign up for the newsletter.
- Nominations and photos you send, and anything else you write to us.
- Ordinary server logs, kept a short time for security and fixing problems.
Nominations and photos
We keep what you send so we can review it. If we feature it, we use your first name or initials only, unless you ask us to credit you differently. Ask us to delete your nomination any time, featured or not.
Analytics
None right now. When we add it, it'll be open-source software on our own server, without cookies and without storing your IP address, and this section will name it.
Fonts
The typefaces are served from this site, so loading them doesn’t send your IP address to Google or any other font service.
Cookies
This site doesn't set tracking or advertising cookies, so there's no consent banner. Affiliate links are the one case worth knowing about. See below.
Affiliate links and cookies
There are none on the site today. When there are, clicking one takes you to a supplier's website, and that supplier will usually put a cookie in your browser so they know you came from us. It's their cookie, on their site, under their privacy policy. We can't read it, and we're told that an order happened, not who you are. You can always go to the supplier directly instead. Your price is the same either way.
Your rights
Ask for a copy of what we have, a correction, or deletion. No reason needed.
Age
This site is for adults and isn't directed at children under 16.

Why we use your information
- Email list: only with your consent, when you sign up. You can withdraw it anytime with the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Emails you send us: to read and answer them, because you asked us to.
- Server logs: to keep the site secure and working, which is our legitimate interest.
How long we keep it
- Email list: until you unsubscribe.
- Emails you send us: only as long as we need to reply and follow up.
- Server logs: a short time set by our web host, then deleted.
Who else handles it
Only our web host and our email list provider, once the list is connected. They may process data in the United States or other countries, under their own privacy terms. We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.
What you can ask for
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or move your information, object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@elephantswag.com and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re in the EU, the UK or Switzerland and you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We don’t track you across other websites, so every visit is treated the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
